Synergy Troubleshooting
Greyson's computer has Synergy setup on it so he can move from his dual screen AutoCAD Windows XP computer to his Windows Vista notebook on sitting on his desk to the right. It wasn't working today. The error log said it couldn't connect. After checking the firewall on windows vista, which is running as a client, I was not able to get it to work. But after I added an exception in the firewall for TCP port 24800 on his Windows XP computer, running as the server, where his keyboard and mouse are plugged in, it worked. Somehow port 24800 got itself blocked recently. (edit 528) Permalink
